Prof. Dr. B.S. Ramakrishna Receives Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Award

Prof. Dr. B.S. Ramakrishna, Director and Senior Consultant, Gastroenterology, SIMS Hospitals, has been conferred the Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Award at the Gastroenterology Young Master's Program in recognition of his contribution to gastroenterology, medical education, and academic leadership. A former Head of the Department of Gastrointestinal Sciences at Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore , Dr. Ramakrishna has more than five decades of experience in clinical gastroenterology, research, and teaching. His career has included academic and clinical assignments in India, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia. He has served as the President of Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Vice-President of the Indian Motility and Functional Diseases Association, and Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology. He is also a recipient of the Jacob Chandy Gold Medal and the Hoechst Om Prakash Award for his contributions to the field.
