Dr. Jayanivash J

Dr. Jayanivash J is a highly skilled and internationally trained Consultant Nephrologist based in Chennai, specializing in Interventional Nephrology, Vascular Access Interventions, Kidney Replacement Therapy, and Renal Transplantation. With over 14 years of expertise across nephrology and its subspecialties, he brings a rare combination of advanced procedural skills, academic excellence, and clinical leadership to his practice at SRM Institutes for Medical Science (SIMS), Chennai.

Dr. Jayanivash received specialized Interventional Nephrology training in Seoul, South Korea, and is one of the pioneering interventional nephrologists in the region. He established the Interventional Nephrology specialty at SIMS from 2019 and has since completed over 100 procedures including percutaneous angioplasty and stenting of AV fistulas and central veins, offering patients a minimally invasive alternative to surgical vascular access management.

He has been actively involved in more than 150 isolated kidney transplants, liver transplants, and combined liver-kidney transplantation surgeries, making him one of Chennai's most experienced transplant nephrologists. A holder of MRCP with SCE in Nephrology from the Royal College of Physicians, UK, and recipient of fellowships from the International Society of Nephrology and the Indian Society of Nephrology, Dr. Jayanivash is a recognized academic contributor with publications in leading national and international nephrology journals and has delivered invited talks at multiple national and international forums.
