Dr. Muthu Veeramani is one of Chennai's most distinguished and experienced Senior Urologists and Renal Transplant Surgeons, with over 30 years of specialized expertise in kidney transplantation, advanced endourology, laparoscopic urological surgery, reconstructive urology, and uro-oncology. Currently serving as Director of the Institute for Renal Sciences & Renal Transplantation at SIMS Hospital, Chennai, he leads one of the most comprehensive kidney care and urology programs in South India – integrating living and deceased donor kidney transplantation, minimally invasive stone management, complex urethral reconstruction, nephron-sparing surgery, and dialysis vascular access procedures under one roof. A former Senior Consultant at Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital and Head of Urology at Global Hospitals, and Visiting Professor at SRM Medical College, Dr.Veeramani brings unparalleled multi-institutional academic and clinical leadership to SIMS Hospital. A prolific researcher published in globally reputed journals including BJU International, Journal of Endourology, and the Indian Journal of Urology, and a decorated recipient of the Medical Excellence Award by the Governor of Tamil Nadu (2018) and the UroTan Gold Medal (2024), he is widely regarded as one of the best kidney transplant surgeons and urologists in Chennai.
