Dr. Nishanth Sampath is a highly specialized Senior Consultant and Lead in Clinical Neurophysiology at SIMS Hospital (SRM Institutes for Medical Science), Vadapalani, Chennai, with over a decade of focused expertise in Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM). A graduate of the prestigious JIPMER, Pondicherry, where he completed both his MBBS and MD in Physiology, Dr. Nishanth further trained in Intraoperative Neurophysiology through a Senior Residency at AIIMS, New Delhi — one of India's premier medical institutions. He has personally performed IONM for over 3,000 surgeries, covering the complete spectrum of neurosurgical, spinal, vascular, cardiac, and aortic procedures. A member of the International IONM Working Group (STARD IONM, 2025) and an invited faculty at globally recognized institutions including the University of Pittsburgh, USA, Dr. Nishanth is widely recognized as one of India's leading authorities in clinical neurophysiology and intraoperative neuromonitoring. He also holds the distinction of having trained the first CNIM-level IONM professional from India, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing the field in the country.
