Dr. Sandhya Vasan is a highly accomplished Director and Senior Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with over 20 years of clinical experience across leading corporate hospitals in Chennai, including Sri Balaji Medical College and Hospitals, prior to joining SIMS Hospital. She brings a comprehensive and patient-centred approach to women's health, combining surgical precision with compassionate care across the full spectrum of obstetric and gynaecological services.
Dr. Sandhya is deeply passionate about supporting women through their desired birthing experiences — including normal deliveries, caesarean sections, and high-risk pregnancies. She is an expert robotic surgeon with a proven track record of 150+ robotic-assisted procedures, specializing in complex minimally invasive cases. She is also trained in stem cell and regenerative medicine, offering advanced fertility solutions for men with poor sperm reserve and women with poor ovarian reserve. Additionally, she is a certified cosmetic gynaecologist with expertise in both functional and aesthetic intimate procedures.
